Exam Card

“Stop Idling” Campaign

These days more and more people are interested in the “Stop Idling” campaign. It asks car drivers to turn off their engines while waiting at traffic signals or when parking even for a short time. If they do so, drivers can prevent their cars from emitting extra exhaust gas. This will decrease the amount of exhaust gas emissions and cause less damage to the environment.

Your story should begin with this sentence: One summer day, Mr. and Mrs. Takahashi were talking about the “no idling campaign.”

Examiner (Tutor) : Now, I’ll ask you four questions.
Examiner (Tutor) : Now, Mr/Ms. __________, please turn over the card and put it down.
